Knowing physicians

I worked with physicians for 25 years, and believe I learned to understand them as costumers.
Today, I have a daughter who is a resident in  a Pediatric award and follow very closely her development, professionally and personally. There are things that I follow closely and somehow did not see before. It is astonishing how the patriarchal system is still dominating the medical community. At what extent the Head of Department can impose his philosophy and at what extent the young physicians find it difficult to express themselves at this stage.
I wonder if this mentality will continue?
How is it going to affect us the marketers in the pharmaceutical Industry?

What is the added value of a Marketing consultant to your business?

Many times a new costumer askes me: what is the added value of a consultant to our business? What can they do better than us?
My answer is divided in three:
  • Sometimes you do not have the manpower soon enough to prepare a new launch and think broad regarding a new market you have to enter. The consultant will save you time and manpower. He will plan out the market entry strategy and reach the right constumers.
  • A consultant can bring you a holistic approach that allows you to start your business efficiently. Your new  business will start more smoothly. The consultant will help you to learn about the spesific area secrets that can ensure that your business reaches your goals.
  • For existing buisness units, the consultant can bring up new and fresh ideas that may boost your business and expand it.
