Finally I joined the millions using iPad. What a nice toy!!! My family surprized me with it for my birthday!!!!
Well, it is really very convenient to read your e-mails on a proper and convenient way everywhere you are and not struggling with the iPhone small screen.
I started to be interested in this device, last Friday night when we were invited to a social evening with some friends and family. I met there a very nice couple of physicians, both very succesful in their careers. They demonstrated how all their family, including their two years old grandson use the iPad for reading books, journals, etc. I finally realized that it is so convenient that in a few years printed books and journals may vanish totally. Except those who enjoy the physical feeling of reading a printed journal it will become too much expensive and not practical.
iPad is so usefull for marketing use also. How easy it is for medical representatives to upload quicqly every presentation and demonstrate everything they are interested in or are asked about, in a very pragmatic way.
It is so convenient to meet costumers in every field and use iPad.
I think that in the coming years, the medical industry will develop more and more applications to use these new devices. There are so many opportunities and it can support patient compliance, data collection, and so many needs.
The medical field should invest more in investigating the needs of the patients and physicians and use technology to face the new era.
